The event is run by students for students. If at any point you need some help please find any of the students wearing volunteer badges or one of the students in a staff shirt.
The event is attended by students from across the area, region, and country. All of these students must be enrolled in university to attend.
Our hackathon is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, previous hackathon attendance or computing experience (or lack of any of the aforementioned). We do not tolerate harassment of hackathon participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate at any hackathon venue, including hacks, talks, workshops, parties, social media and other online media. Hackathon participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the hackathon without a refund (if applicable) at the discretion of the hackathon organisers. RedbirdHacks is a 36 hour competition for students to build or program a new website or application and present it to the judges at the end.

You should bring a student ID, personal items (toiletries), a laptop and charger. Basically bring anything you would need for a normal weekend. Due to power concerns please do not bring extra monitors or desktop computers.
